Alber Elbaz on the future of fashion

…the moment we try to do everything for ourselves, we’re becoming very mediocre in what we do, and we don’t go to extremes and we don’t touch excellence. And I prefer to touch excellence.

For the sixth installment of The Future of Fashion Q&A series, Style.com’s editor in chief Dirk Standen chats with designer and creative genius Alber Elbaz of Lanvin about the joy, turmoil, consumer cravings for instant gratification and the need for positive change in the industry.

The entire series is a must read with vast amount of insight and includes interviews with industry heavy weights like Cathryn Horyn, Hedi Slimane and Robert Duffy.
